Vintage Stratton Houses of Parliament Powder Compact – Cream Enamel – London Souvenir – c.1950s
Vintage Stratton powder compact featuring a charming cream enamel scene of the Houses of Parliament, London, with boats on the River Thames. This design forms part of Stratton’s mid-20th-century souvenir range, produced during the post-war tourism boom and now increasingly sought after by collectors.
The compact is beautifully made, with a scalloped edge and a finely detailed illustrated scene beneath the enamel. Inside, it retains a clear bevelled mirror, original fitted interior, and presents in excellent condition throughout. The compact comes complete with a black Stratton pouch, adding to its desirability and collectability.
Measuring approximately 7.5 cm in diameter, this is a classic and well-proportioned Stratton compact, ideal for collectors of vintage vanity items, London memorabilia, or British enamel compacts. Dating to circa 1950s (early 1960s at latest), it is a particularly clean and well-preserved example of this iconic design.
