A fabulous vintage Stratton No. 2 lipstick holder with folding circular mirror, dating from around the 1950s–60s.
A wonderfully clever piece of vintage vanity design, the large round mirror folds neatly against its beautifully textured gold-tone back when not in use, creating a compact little accessory that could be slipped into a handbag.
When opened, the lipstick holder can be removed from its base, while the generous circular mirror provides the perfect view for applying lipstick – a wonderfully glamorous solution from an era when even touching up your lipstick deserved a beautifully designed accessory.
The reverse of the mirror features an elegant textured linear design with polished gold-tone bands, while the lipstick holder is marked Stratton No. 2, Made in England.
