Vintage Kigu Convertible Powder Compact – Boxed Unused – Bronze Enamel – Complete Set

A beautiful vintage Kigu Convertible powder compact, presented in its original pink Kigu box and preserved in exceptional, apparently unused condition.

Measuring approximately 8cm across, this elegant scalloped compact features a rich gilt finish with a beautiful smoky bronze translucent enamel lid. Fine radiating detail beneath the enamel creates wonderful depth and movement as the compact catches the light, while an ornate gold-tone openwork motif forms the centrepiece.

The reverse is finished with an intricate engine-turned pattern, and the compact opens to reveal a beautifully clean gilt interior with a clear mirror.

This is Kigu’s ingenious Convertible design, created with a removable powder fitting so that the compact could later be converted for use as a handbag mirror.

Remarkably complete, this example retains its original Kigu branded sifter, unused powder puff, protective pouch and original Kigu information leaflet, all presented within the distinctive pink Kigu Compacts presentation box.

The compact is marked Made in England and appears unused, with its original accessories remaining exceptionally well preserved. The box has some minor age-related wear, as would be expected.

A particularly lovely and complete example of a Kigu Convertible, combining beautiful translucent enamel work with its original presentation box, accessories and paperwork — a wonderful piece for the Kigu collector.
