A magnificent vintage Stratton Queen Convertible powder compact in the highly decorative Red Jewel pattern, complete with its original Stratton presentation box, pouch, and original puff.

The Red Jewel design is one of Stratton’s most luxurious creations, featuring an opulent deep ruby red enamel background adorned with intricate gilt floral scrollwork and colourful jewel-like accents surrounding an elaborate central medallion. Rich in colour and detail, it is a timeless design that beautifully reflects the glamour of mid-century British vanity accessories.

This is genuinely one of the finest examples of the Red Jewel pattern I have had the pleasure of offering. The enamel remains beautifully vibrant with an exceptional gloss, while the gilt decoration is wonderfully preserved with no wear, gilt loss or damage. The compact presents almost as if it has never been used.

The only point to note is some very minor age-related spotting to the mirror, which is only visible on close inspection and is entirely commensurate with age.

Measuring approximately 8.5 cm, this is the sought-after Queen Convertible model, designed for use with either loose face powder or standard solid powder pans.
