Vintage Mascot Hand Painted Flying Mallard Powder Compact with Pouch 7.5cm

A beautiful vintage Mascot powder compact, expertly crafted in England and featuring a charming hand-painted flying mallard duck over a lustrous pearlised background with delicate water lilies and foliage.

Measuring approximately 7.5 cm in diameter, this elegant compact showcases the wonderful artistry that Mascot became renowned for. The finely detailed mallard, vibrant colours and shimmering pearlised finish create a timeless design that displays beautifully.

The compact retains its original mirror, original powder sifter and comes complete with its original protective pouch. A replacement powder puff has also been fitted, making it ready for display. The compact opens and closes securely, and the reverse features an attractive engine-turned gilt finish with the Mascot maker’s mark.

Presented in very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use consistent with its years. The hand-painted decoration remains vibrant, the gilt finish is bright, and the interior is clean and well presented.
