Vintage Stratton Cobalt Blue Guilloché Enamel Starburst Powder Compact 8.5cm Made in England

A beautiful vintage Stratton powder compact, expertly crafted in England and featuring a striking cobalt blue guilloché enamel lid adorned with an elegant gilt starburst design.

Measuring approximately 8.5 cm in diameter, this eye-catching compact showcases the rich translucent blue enamel over an engine-turned guilloché ground, creating a wonderful depth of colour. The dramatic gold starburst motif gives the compact a glamorous mid-century appearance, making it a beautiful addition to any vintage vanity collection.

The interior retains its original mirror, powder well and original sifter. The compact opens and closes securely, and the reverse is finished with Stratton’s signature engine-turned gilt decoration and is stamped Stratton – Made in England.

Presented in good vintage condition, there are some minor chips and losses to the blue enamel, together with foxing and clouding to the mirror, consistent with age. The gilt finish remains bright, and despite these imperfections, the compact displays beautifully and remains a very attractive example.
