Vintage West German Vanity Compact Carryall Set – Powder Compact, Lipstick Holder & Manicure Kit – Black Gold Fabric Minaudière Style Case

A beautifully preserved vintage West German vanity carryall set dating from the mid-20th century, finished in an elegant black woven fabric with metallic gold floral detailing and rich gold-tone fittings throughout. Pieces like this were designed as glamorous all-in-one handbag accessories, combining practicality with compact evening elegance.

The set includes a powder compact with mirror and original unused sifter, a fitted lipstick holder, and a fold-out manicure section containing matching grooming tools with cream handles. The interior mirror frame is marked “Germany,” and the fabric popper fastening is also maker marked.

The gold-tone interior remains exceptionally clean and bright, with the compact appearing very lightly used. The original sifter is still present, the manicure tools remain neatly fitted, and the woven exterior retains crisp structure and strong colour contrast. The mirror displays well with only light age-related wear visible on close inspection.

An unusually complete and highly decorative vanity piece that displays beautifully and captures the glamour of post-war European handbag accessories.
